Author/Presenter: Elizabeth Bunting

This presentation provides an overview of the New York State Wildlife Health Program.

The New York State Wildlife Health Program is a partnership between the NYSDEC and the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Our mission is to protect the health of all wildlife in New York State. The WHP aims to achieve its mission through disease surveillance, monitoring, disease prevention planning, and applied research. The Wildlife Health Program also provides training for DEC personnel in safely handling wildlife; and policy guidance on wildlife health issues important to the state.
